Liverpool are reportedly ready to sell Cody Gakpo after a disappointing season.

Liverpool left the City Ground with three points thanks to a late, late goal from Alexis Mac Allister which keeps The Reds’ European hopes alive this season.

Despite the win, fans were keen to rip into the team in what was one of their worst performances under manager Arne Slot.

Gakpo, who has scored just once in his last 12 league outings, was especially targeted by supporters who believe the winger is far from good enough for the first team.

Rio Ngumoha, just 17 years old, came on for the Dutchman and completely transformed the game in the final moments to secure 3 points for the champions.

Now, as reported by Shoot, Liverpool are prepared to sell Gakpo if they can find a replacement this summer as the 26-year-old continues to disappoint.

Gakpo joined the Reds from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven back in 2023 and has since made 163 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Last summer Bayern Munich were interested but snapped up his teammate Luis Diaz instead in a move that has proven to be a complete success for the German giants.

Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon and West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen have been linked with the side as Liverpool weight up their options ahead of what will be a busy summer.
