According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are the latest in a long line of top clubs looking at the defensive midfielder.

It’s understood they’ve started talks with Eichhorn’s representatives, but face some major competition for his signature.

Premier League rivals Man City are also said to be keen, alongside German clubs Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen.

Eichhorn has a release clause worth around €10-12 million included in his current Hertha deal.
