Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch sustained an ankle injury in the defeat to Manchester United and has now missed training ahead the clash with Frankfurt.

Gravenberch was replaced by Curtis Jones in the second half as The Reds collapsed at Anfield in what was their fourth defeat in a row. The 23-year-old had shaken off a minor hamstring injury to start the game, and now it seems like his injury issues have only gotten worse.

"I took him off because he twisted his ankle. Is he an injury concern? That's what we have to wait and see tomorrow," Slot explained in his post-match press conference.

Now, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, the Dutch international has missed open training on Tuesday afternoon at 12.15pm in what is a worrying sign for manager Arne Slot who is desperate to turn the team around.

Wataru Endo, who dropped out of playing for Japan with a minor issue that he picked up against Chelsea, was missing against United. However, he was back in training today and could be introduced for the Frankfurt clash if Gravenberch is to miss out.

Alexis Mac Allister also participated in training, despite suffering a head injury against the Red Devils which required multiple stitches. Slot will speak at his pre-match press conference in Frankfurt from 6.30pm on Tuesday evening as the media ask for updates on the travelling squad.
