Slot, after the 2-0 win, said: "If I have a player with a muscle injury like Joe, it's usually not a good thing.
"I don't expect him to be in the squad next week, but sometimes you get a positive surprise.
"People maybe now understand a little better why I've always been so cautious about not playing him so many games.
"I imagine a lot of people thought: if you have a defender, if you have a right-back, why don't you play him?"
