It has since been revealed that Schlotterbeck had a special ‘dream club’ clause included in the deal, meaning he would be able to join three specific clubs for a fee between €50 million and €60 million.
According to Sport BILD, Liverpool and Real Madrid are included, but the third club remains a mystery for now.
Barcelona and Bayern Munich have both previously been linked with a move for Schlotterbeck.
