The Egyptian and Liverpool great discussed his status with France Football.
He said, "Who is the best African player in history? Me, but there are many. I could also say George Weah, Didier Drogba, and Samuel Eto'o."
Regarding the best teammate he's played with, he said: "I didn't play with him in my best moment, but I'd say Eden Hazard. I would have liked to play with Steven Gerrard and Thierry Henry.
"Best defender I've faced? There have been many. Sergio Ramos is a great player, but I can't name just one."
A question about the best coach of his career so far was also inevitable. There were so many important names, but Salah didn't exactly choose the obvious one you might have expected: "Who's the best coach you've had? (Luciano) Spalletti."
Salah played for former Italy and Napoli coach Spalletti at AS Roma.
Finally, looking back on his decorated career, he had no doubts about the achievement that gave him the greatest satisfaction: "The trophy that made the greatest impact on me? The Champions League."
