The Old Gold actually got off to a great start as they opened the scoring inside just eight minutes. Fer López fed through Ladislav Krejčí, who slotted neatly past Karl Darlow on his Molineux debut.
However, it all went downhill from there, as Leeds scored three without reply before HT.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin nodded in his first goal for the Whites over José Sá after connecting with Jayden Bogle’s cross.
Krejčí then turned villain as he fouled Calvert-Lewin on the edge of the box, and Anton Stach curled the resulting free-kick beautifully into the top corner.
Another new signing then opened his account in Noah Okafor, who found the bottom corner after Stach won possession high up and calmly played him in.
Wolves made three substitutes at HT to try and provoke a reaction, and one of them almost got the hosts back in it in Marshall Munetsi.
A well-worked corner ended with him, but his header was brilliantly tipped over by Darlow.
Munetsi then had another chance shortly after as he chested and volleyed towards goal, but Darlow held firm again.
Sean Longstaff could have been the fourth new signing to score for Leeds when he fired towards goal, but Sá gathered well.
The hosts looked most likely to score in the latter stages, but they ultimately fell short again, now winning just once in six previous H2Hs.
Leeds had scored just once before today’s triumph, and will be delighted with a first league victory since the opening weekend.
