Sunderland will be battling to stay in the Premier League's top four on Saturday when they travel to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage. The Black Cats could make it five games unbeaten this weekend as they aim to continue their incredible form.
Fulham will be a tough test
Le Bris first spoke on this weekend’s opponents, who sit just one point above the relegation zone.
“They are really efficient at home, they can create chances in different ways, they are really proactive, good side, good players, good experience from the coaching staff, so really efficient,” Le Bris said.
“I don't really understand why they struggle away, but we won't play away so it's not the main topic for this game. Another tough challenge, we know that in this Premier League we can't play an easy game, it doesn't exist, and this one will be another tough one.”
Mandava's injury isn't serious
Next, he was asked about Reinildo Mandava picking up an issue on international duty with Mozambique, which Le Bris revealed isn’t as serious as first thought.
"He felt a discomfort on his hamstring, which is not serious. He had a previous injury years ago so it's more related to an old injury than a new injury, so he'll be fine."
Trio are unavailable
Le Bris also confirmed Leo Hjelde, Dennis Cirkin and Romaine Mundle will not be available this weekend as they ease back into the squad
“90 minutes for Dennis tonight and 45 for Leo and Romaine, so that’s good news for them,” Régis Le Bris said.
“Fulham is too soon for all of them.”
Sunderland are growing more confident
Sunderland are above the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United so far this season, after many had predicted they would drop straight back down. Le Bris says his side are growing in confidence.
"We are building our confidence progressively, but everything is fragile and we have to reset.
"We have the mindset that it is our first game in the Premier League, and that is the way I think we should approach each game."
