Carrick’s United side beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in a win that stunned many fans who expected the Gunners to tear apart the Red Devils at home.
Carrick was called for discussions with Ratcliffe in the Emirates Stadium tunnel after the win, creating conversation amongst fans who were proud to see the former midfielder complete a perfect start as interim boss.
Lammens was asked whether Ratcliffe had stepped into the dressing room to speak to the players and stated that he had been speaking with Carrick as he takes a real interest in the side.
"He was talking to the coach. It's nice to see them (United board) as well, like supporting the team as well, as they have. So it's always a good feeling and good support for them."
"I think it was one of the better ones, better feelings of my career," he said of the win over Arsenal.
"Away as well, yeah, whilst last week (against City) was at home, which is also really nice and really special. This one felt like a little bit more hard work. It wasn't always the best play from us, but they also games you have to win if you want to be at the top.
"So today we did that, I think just hardworking, defending together, and then at the end, the subs like Cunha made a difference, and also, the people who come in give our team energy."
Carrick was asked for an insight into the conversation he had with Ratcliffe in the Emirates tunnel:“No, not much as you would expect, I think," he replied. "There’s a lot of happy bodies around the camp today, and he’s delighted as well. So it was nice to see him.”
United welcome Fulham to Old Trafford next weekend as they aim to stay in the top four and above the likes of Chelsea and champions Liverpool.
