LaLiga president Javier Tebas enjoyed a swipe at the Premier League over their clubs' failure in the Champions League this week.

Discussing how LaLiga clubs are now becoming increasingly attractive to foreign investors over the Premier League, Tebas also was keen to highlight the failings of English teams in Europe.

He said, "A few years ago, we wondered why these capital funds weren't coming in. Now, solvency is important to them. If they go to England or Italy, they know they'll lose money. Here, they know we're a sustainable league.

"I'm more concerned about what those who come in will do than whether it's a fund, a foreign investor, or whatever.

"Competing with Real Madrid and Barcelona? It's possible, but it doesn't happen overnight. Real Madrid and Barcelona have a certain level of revenue. It's possible, but not immediately; it's impossible.

"Regarding the latest squad size limits, Atlético has been growing in recent years and closing the gap with Barcelona and Real Madrid."

Tebas also said: "When they finish Valencia's stadium, Camp Nou, Betis's... they're going to improve attendance. There's a hopeful aspect.

"You're not asking me about yesterday's Premier League matches today, are you? Two Premier League teams were eliminated yesterday, weren't they?"
