The Bees sit 13th in the table, with five points separating themselves from both the relegation zone and Liverpool in third. Against Liverpool, Brentford lost just one of their first three Premier League encounters and will hope to capitalize on their mixed form as of late.
Liverpool are weak but have the quality to do damage
Andrews first opened up on the Premier League champions and suggested that their poor form as of late is due to mass changes in the summer and a lack of adaptability.
"They have world-class players in their squad. It is a new team - and I can relate to that.
"You can see in their performances that their team probably doesn’t have the rhythm it once did. But, in the moments when it does click, they are absolutely lethal.
"We will have to manage the game. We are well aware of the strengths they have. We will see what their teamsheet brings tomorrow evening. We will be prepared for it and we are really looking forward to it."
Team news
Next, he provided a squad fitness update in what was mostly positive news for Brentford as a number of key players return.
"The players are in a good place. We are pretty much as we were.
"Josh Dasilva is still out but he signed his new contract, which I'm really happy we were able to do.
"Aaron Hickey won't make this weekend, but he will be back in training in the next few days. The rest of the boys are pretty much available."
Paris Maghoma and Gustavo Nunes are both in contention, though, after featuring in Brentford B team’s 6-1 victory over Luton Town on Tuesday.
Yarmoliuk is loving life alongside Henderson
Finally, he spoke on Yehor Yarmoliuk following the midfielder's impressive start to the 2025/26 season. The 21-year-old has started all eight of the Bees' Premier League fixtures this term and Andrews was keen to heap praise on the Ukrainian.
"Playing alongside someone so experienced (Jordan Henderson) is invaluable," said Andrews on that partnership.
"Yehor's role has grown. He finished really well last season and this is his first real season as a starter.
"He's grasped that opportunity and I think his performances have been really outstanding.
"He's grown in stature on the pitch and the personality he's playing with, and he has a real understanding of the game.
"He's keen to develop his game, he's keen to learn about playing midfield and what it takes, and he's in the right environment to continue that development."
