Leeds United defender James Justin was pleased with his goal in Monday night's 1-1 draw with Everton.

However, Justin admits there is frustration after his first-half goal was canceled out after the break by Thierno Barry for Everton.

He said at the final whistle: "We started the first half pretty well. We played quite well and went a goal up and had a few chances to make it more but didn't take them. They're a decent side and coming away to a place like this, they'll have their spells. We'll take a point.

"We had trust in the way we were playing and we had confidence coming into the game. It's ebbs and flows in football and you have to ride the wave when you can."

On his goal, he said: "I got a bit of stick from one of the coaching staff because he said I arrive in the box to quickly, so I hung back. Glad to get on the scoresheet.

"It's a big step in the right direction for me. I've been playing recently and my body is feeling good."

My mate changed things for Everton

Justin says the turning point for Everton was the introduction of his former Leicester City teammate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after halftime.

He added: "They brought on my mate Kiernan.

"He was very good and finding space in the pocket. He was good when they brought on and the centre half too. That's the quality they have.

"We're not afraid to talk about our goal and that's to stay in the Premier League no matter what. We want to keep putting points on the board."
