Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is set to open talks over a career long contract this week.

The England international last signed new terms in February 2023 in a that deal runs to June 2027 and now despite him being 31 years old the club are said to see him as one of the biggest and most influential members of the squad.

Pickford joined the Toffees from Sunderland in 2017 and has since made 322 appearances across all competitions. He is one of the most experienced members of the squad and sits alongside captain Seamus Coleman and James Tarkowski as the leaders of the side.

He has two years remaining on his existing deal and reports from The Times and the BBC now reveal that the club are interested in signing him down to a deal for the rest of his career in what would be a momentous agreement.

Pickford is now in his ninth season with the Blues, and it appears he will end his legacy on Merseyside in what has been a bumpy ride for the club that has included managerial sackings, financial rule breaches and points deductions.

Everton have started 2025-26 with two victories and a defeat in their opening three Premier League games and it looks as if the season will only get better once Pickford is tied down for the foreseeable future under manager David Moyes.
