Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has rejected both Besiktas and Roma this week despite wanting to leave the club.

Sancho is running out of time to seal a move away from Old Trafford this summer as manager Ruben Amorim continues to attempt to clear out the “bomb squad” which also includes the likes of Antony and Alejandro Garnacho who are not in his plans for the future.

Italian giants Roma had emerged as suitors over recent days whilst Turkish giants Besiktas have also shown a huge interest as their fans plead for the club to make a move for the England international on social media.

Roma and Besiktas heavily interested

Reports suggest that the deal can be done on loan with obligation to buy for a total fee of circa €23M and the biggest problem stopping the deal from going ahead is his huge wages which are stated to be at around €15M per season. There is no path for Sancho to work his way into Amorim's plans, meaning he must find a club before the transfer deadline at the end of the month.

Roma are reportedly suggesting he sign a five-year contract to spread out the salary in a deal that could work for both parties. However, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Sancho continues to reject every offer put in front of him.

“Jadon Sancho, currently not accepting AS Roma proposal and not even in talks with Besiktas now.

“No agreement between Sancho and Roma on personal terms, despite Man United ready to accept £20m bid.

“Besiktas deal in stand-by as Sancho won’t consider Turkey before September.”

Sancho is blocking the deal

Roma are preparing for the start of a new era under former Atalanta BC manager Gian Piero Gasperini who has a reputation for helping players like Sancho who never quite lived up to expectations. Romano gave another update on the winger soon afterwards and confirmed that Besiktas are willing to match United's asking price but Sancho is the one factor stopping the deal.

"More on Jadon Sancho. Besiktas called two weeks ago to ask for deal conditions… but since then, no fresh contacts took place.

"Besiktas remain willing to match Man United asking price but Sancho is not accepting a move to Turkey now.

"It can be an option only later on — with Turkish market closing on September 12."
