Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola is set to leave the side once the season is over as he is linked to the Manchester United role.

The 43-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season after having joined Bournemouth 12 months earlier on an initial two-year deal.

There has been speculation around Iraola’s contract and whether he will sign an extension to stay but now journalist Ben Jacobs reports that he will depart after a success spell since 2024.

Iraola was previously targeted by Tottenham Hotspur in March 2025 and has been linked with the Manchester United job since the departure of Ruben Amorim earlier this year.

However, Amorim has since been replaced by interim boss Michael Carrick who has taken the club up the table into 3rd in the Premier League and therefore into the Champions League spots.

The Cherries, meanwhile, are 11th in the Premier League table and unbeaten in 12 league games after their recent win over title favourites Arsenal but are unlikely to grab European football this season.

Iraola is also is understood to be admired by sections of the Liverpool FC hierarchy who may seek to replace manager Arne Slot in the coming months as reports grow that he may be sacked.

Bournemouth are within sight of a top-10 finish this season despite losing key players such as Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Antoine Semenyo in what has been an impressive season for Iraola who will look at every option in the coming months.
