The West London club have confirmed that Silva, 48, will leave this summer, ending his five-year spell at Craven Cottage.
Silva is now expected to replace Jose Mourinho at Benfica, with the former Chelsea boss returning to Real Madrid on a three-year deal.
According to Sky Sports, Fulham have started their search for Silva’s successor, and Ipswich’s McKenna, 40, is high on their shortlist.
McKenna is highly regarded, taking Ipswich from League One to the Premier League before their relegation back to the Championship in 2024-25.
Ipswich have since earned promotion back to the big time, but it’s starting to look unlikely that McKenna will be there for 2026-27.
