As first reported by the Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Martinez who has attracted attention from several top European sides in recent months.
Liverpool have already competed deals to sign youth talents Noah Adekoya, Mor Talla Ndiaye and Austria youth international Ifeanyi Ndukwe this season and are clearly keen on bringing in more talent.
After starring for Colombia at the South American U17 Championship last month, starting five of his country’s six games whilst assisting three times, including in both the semi-final and final before lifting the trophy, attention has well and truly grown.
Now, as per Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have agreed a deal that will see him sign for the club in 2027.

“Deal in place for 17 year old Colombian talent to join in 2027, as soon as he turns 18.
“#LFC anticipate Borussia Dortmund, as @PSierraR revealed. Agreement closed.”
Born in April 2009, it will still be eleven months before he turns 18. Reports state Dortmund were not the only side interested in the teenager, with Barcelona also claimed to have been outbid by Liverpool who will be delighted with signing the youngster next year.
