Gudmunsson said: "It doesn't matter if they really lost or won.
“We know there's a lot of quality in that team. When they play at home, they're very strong as well. So, you know, we want to come there with a hunger from last game when we lost against Villa to make sure we can get something out of it.
“They play so many games and they have a lot of quality in the squad. And we’re playing in the Etihad, which I think they are very strong in, but we're going to go there with a hunger from last game to come and to get something out of it.”
Meanwhile, Gudmundsson insists Leeds have enough quality to begin moving up the Premier League table again.
He told PLP: “As a footballer, you always have highs and lows and sometimes that's football. We know that.
“Especially like a promoted team, you're going to have sometimes difficulties during the season. But I'm sure that we are going to come through it as a good group and sure we're going to take more points.”
