Marc Guehi is on Liverpool and Manchester City’s shortlist of defensive targets next summer as the two sides wait for the defender’s contract to expire.
The Reds have been very open about their interest in Guehi and nearly secured a deal for the England star before the Eagles decided to keep him at the side.
Guehi had been undergoing a medical with the Reds after agreeing terms, only for Eagles chairman Steve Parish to pull the plug in what was a devastating move.
The defender is set to leave Crystal Palace when his contract expires at the end of the campaign, but Glasner, speaking to reporters on Wednesday, has revealed that he thinks he will stick with the side.
“I think Marc will stay until the end of the season.”
Liverpool’ Giovanni Leoni has been ruled out for the season after undergoing surgery on an ACL injury, while Joe Gomez is injury prone.
Meanwhile, John Stones is in the final year of his contract and City are hoping to replace him before he departs.
The Reds will face stiff competition from City for Guehi’s signature however in what should a transfer race to keep an eye on.
