Glasner has announced he intends to leave Palace when his contract expires in June. However, he will leave sooner if he doesn't have the confidence of the players.
"I say this too often," said Glasner. "Crystal Palace is important, so if the club believes that they will do better without Oliver Glasner, I don't want to stand in the way.
"This is what I wanted to express when I said I don't know. If the players believe with a different manager they will do better, I don't want to stand in the way because I can't do anything.
"The players have to do it. But of course I spoke to the players and they had the best two years of their life and are believing in it. The club is the same.
"If the club had said 'we are not really convinced' then it would be better to make a change."
