Garnacho won praise from manager Liam Rosenior for his performance on the night.
The Argentina international said, "It was a really good win. I think we got a good result at a difficult stadium. We are really proud of the group and happy to get the three points.
"We knew after our last game, it was a final today. We are a group that works really hard, so we came here and gave everything to the badge.
"We have to win to take their top four place, and I think we have done a fantastic job, so we are really happy."
Joao Pedro scored a hat-trick on the night and Garnacho added: "It’s crazy, the guy is just scoring goals. The confidence is very high, and he is helping us a lot, so we are really happy for him.
"He’s performing how he knows to perform. He is a top striker, one of the best on the team, and I just passed it to him because of the hat-trick."
