Speaking on Friday, Silva said: “It’s up to the club to speak with his representatives, and anything else is just speculation and rumours.
“When you have important players whose contracts are running down, you manage the situation carefully. Hopefully, we’ll have good news soon.”
With Silva's deal also running down, it's been suggested Wilson wants clarity on his manager's plans before committing himself.
