Off contract in June, the Portuguese has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham in recent weeks.
After victory over Sunderland on Wearside yesterday, Silva said: "Nothing has changed. I'm still in contact with the club's board of directors, and we're working together not only to prepare for the present, but also for the future.
"We also had another meeting this week, where we began preparing the first conversations about the future of myself, my staff, and some players whose contracts are expiring.
"It's not just about me, but we're aligned and completely on the same page. When we have something new, we'll let you know: we'll see what happens. We don't know right now."
