Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has spoken to the media as he prepares to take on West Ham United.

Spurs are sitting 14th Premier League table after picking up just 27 points from 21 matches so far this season. Frank’s side are on a four-game winless run as they host the Hammers who are staring relegation in the face this season.

Richarlison out for several weeks

The Danish manager first revealed some team news which was mixed as his side lose another striker to injury as Frank turns to Dominic Solanke who is close to returning.

"Richarlison unfortunately got a hamstring injury that will keep him out for up to seven weeks.

"Lucas (Bergvall) could be available for Sunday and (Yves) Bissouma is back and available as well.

"Both Destiny (Udogie) and Dom (Solanke) will both be involved and available but are closer to playing more minutes."

What can Gallagher bring?

Tottenham completed the signing of former Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in a £34.7M in a move from Atletico Madrid to boost the club’s options after Rodrigo Bentancur underwent hamstring surgery.

Frank spoke on the England international who has more goal contributions than any Spurs midfielder so far this season.

"I think it is a top signing. I can't praise the ownership enough for doing it and getting it over the line quick.

"I think what he brings in terms of ability first and foremost is, he is a very good player with great experience in the Premier League and La Liga. He has captained two teams so that character, leadership and experience - plus he's still young with plenty of development to reach but coming in at a good level.

"His pressing abilities, directness, scoring goals but also being able to find good positions on the pitch is exactly what we need."

The Pitbull is a fitting name

Finally, Frank commented on Gallagher's nickname of The Pitbull which he thinks is apt for a player who often runs any midfield he is thrown into no matter if it's in Spain or England.

"It's a great nickname. I think Conor has a lot of good offensive abilities, his ability to arrive in the box and he's a clever finishing. His skill set in the final third is good in terms of arriving in the right positions.

"I spoke to him about the project and the club and what we are aiming for and all of that suited him."
