Rangers are frontrunners to land the highly-rated winger Mikey Moore from Tottenham this summer as manager Thomas Frank opens up on his future.

The 17-year-old has not been short of loan interest as Championship sides dived in to sign the teenager who now seems destined to move to Glasgow to fight for Rangers, who missed out on the title to rivals Celtic last season.

Now, Tottenham boss Frank has broken silence at a press conference in Hong Kong ahead of Spurs’ pre-season meeting with Arsenal on Thursday as he spoke on the future of Moore whose deal to Rangers looks to be certain even if some details need ironing out.

“Moore’s a young boy who'll be looking for an opportunity to kick on but there's a little bit of a risk attached to a first loan move.

“He's shown in any opportunities he's had at Tottenham that he has a chance.

“But it can be difficult because a lot of Premier League players in England who go out on loan go to a level where they've got time to adapt, whether it's the Championship or other teams who don't have to play under the same pressure as (Rangers) and Celtic have."

Brennan Johnson, Heung-min Son, Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert, Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison are all options for Frank next season which does not allow space for Moore Frank reveals needs consistent first team football.

“I think it’s very important. Mikey is a big talent, I’m really excited about his future here at Tottenham.

“I think for all players, but especially the younger players, they need to get that first-team consistent football into their bodies.

“If we can find the right option, we’ll do that.”

Moore has made 21 first team appearances for Tottenham, with 19 of those came in the last campaign, including 10 games in the English Premier League. He will certainly be an exciting talent for Rangers ahead of the new season, where the Scottish side will be hoping for a resurgence under new manager Russell Martin.
