Now The Argus is reporting that Nottingham Forest are expected to come back with an improved bid for Ayari.
The 22-year-old has three goals and an assist in 20 games in the Premier League this season, 17 of which from the start.
Ayari, who has a contract until the summer of 2027, joined Brighton in 2023 from AIK.
