The result leaves Forest just three points above the Premier League relegation zone with 12 games remaining.
BBC Sport says Forest management are seeking to make an immediate new managerial appointment.
And Portuguese Pereira is their choice, with talks already underway today. Pereira worked previously under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos.
Before Dyche, Forest also sacked Ange Postecoglou in October and Nuno Espirito Santo in September.
