According to reports by RTI Esporte, the Brazilian giants have entered into preliminary talks with Arsenal over a loan deal with the 28-year-old understood to have given the ‘green light.’
The loan move would see Flamengo pay 50% of Jesus’ wages, meaning Arsenal would have to foot the bill for the remaining 50%.
Jesus is currently sidelined with an ACL injury he picked up in January and isn’t expected to make his return until September at the earliest.
That hasn’t put Flamengo off, however, with Jesus set to have a limited role now that Gyokeres finally looks set to become an Arsenal player.
