Leeds had the lead in Sunday's clash through Lukas Nmecha, before Morgan Rogers struck twice for Villa to earn the visitors their 2-1 win.
“First of all we are disappointed we didn’t win because we know we have a tough run of fixtures right now upcoming against the best sides,” Farke said afterwards.
“But we wanted to play in this league and for that we also have to make sure that we give ourselves a chance to win points even against the best sides in this league.
“These are our competitors and for that when we lose a game we are disappointed no matter how the performance was.
“I wasn’t really happy in the last away games but performance-wise, I don’t have too much to complain about today because this was how we want to be – brave, aggressive, with confidence.
“I think to concede these two goals was decisive today. We put a fight in, (Emi) Martínez, another unbelievable save against Pascal Struijk, another goal disallowed.
“So, performance-wise, we would have deserved to win points out of this today but we had it already a few times during the season. We were pretty unfortunate in these terms.”
