He will be supported by Giorgos Korakakis and Dimitris Konstantopoulos on his backroom staff.

Beyond leading Wales to the 2016 Euros semifinals, Coleman has also coached Fulham, Coventry City, and Sunderland in England, along with LaLiga giants Real Sociedad.

In his first comments as new coach, Coleman said: "I can't wait to take on this new challenge. I know Asteras well; it's a serious club going through a difficult period but has the potential to bounce  back. It's time to work, not talk.

"We need to win the next game and change direction. I hope the fans will support us: we'll give everything for them and to bring back enthusiasm and results."
