He told The Sun: “Brazil has great forwards like Endrick, Luiz Henrique, Matheus Cunha, Rayan, Vinicius, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha and Joao Pedro, but it doesn’t have a striker with the characteristics of Igor Thiago.

“He is the only striker who stands out as totally different from the rest.

“Brazil doesn’t currently have an explosive centre-forward striker like O Fenômeno’ Ronaldo Nazário.

“Igor needs to be on (coach Carlo) Ancelotti’s list for the World Cup.”

Saymon also said:  “The impact Igor has had at Brentford could, with some differences, be compared to the impact Thierry Henry had at Arsenal in the beginning, as both were players who weren’t very well known.

“Igor is very dangerous when running with the ball and attacking space. They are similar players, but Igor also has the strength of Ronaldo Nazário

“I believe he can be a very important player for Brazil in the World Cup.
