Godfrey joins Brondby on-loan from Atalanta to the end of the season.
The defender was on-loan with Sheffield United over the first-half of the campaign. Last term, he played on-loan in the Premier League with Ipswich Town.
Godfrey said upon joining Brondby: "My football career reached a point this winter, pointing towards a new loan for me, and then contact happened through Steve Cooper. After that call, there was only one place I wanted to go.
"Sometimes it can be difficult to get from England and go abroad, but he explained how open people are, how beautiful Copenhagen is, how amazing the club is, and then I looked a little into it myself and it was all confirmed.
"Right now Steve Cooper is the perfect man to get me back in shape and hopefully Brøndby can get full pleasure from it.
"It's no secret that in recent years have been turbulent because I haven't played that much. For me, it's about getting continuity again – playing matches, finding the rhythm and showing the level I know I have.
"If I do, I'm sure it will help the team."
