Barry admits he's taking inspiration from Nick Woltemade (Newcastle) and Hugo Ekitike (Liverpool), who sees as brothers in arms.

He explained, "We arrived in in the same situation, coming in this summer. So that’s why I like the new strikers like Ekitike and Woltemade. They’re my generation. I like to look at their game.

“For me, when I start the season, I don’t have a target. I don’t say, ‘yeah, I need to score 20 or 25’, I just say, ‘okay, I need to do better than last season’. Last season, I scored 11 goals in La Liga. So, for me, my aim is to score 11 goals or more."

Barry also said: "I think here it’s different with the media.

"For example, if you score one goal here, everybody talks about you. And I think in Spain, for everybody to talk about you, you need to score like five goals, maybe."
