He has already been likened to former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar as he continues his rapid rise to the top of world football with The Blues who snapped him up last summer.

The likes of Manchester United and Tottenham were said to be speaking to the teenager before he joined the West London club who he explained offered him a better project as he spoke to The Sun.

"My family went to other clubs, but what caught my attention was Chelsea. The project with Chelsea was different because it’s a team that, how can I say, gives you more opportunities to be in the game.

“I thought Chelsea would be the perfect future for me because it would get me more minutes. I want to be amongst the best players in the world. I know my potential and what I can offer to Chelsea and, of course, to be amongst the best players in the world."

Estevao is currently completing 1.4 dribbles per game in the Premier League, which is the highest average in Chelsea’s squad.

The Brazil star is having regular English lessons whilst at the club according to The Sun and allowed TV cameras into one of his lessons last week as he continues to adapt to the United Kingdom under manager Liam Rosenior.

Rosenior revealed that Estevao was now “back on the pitch running” ahead of the Aston Villa clash this week as he aims to climb his way back into the squad after pulling his hamstring.
