Reports suggest that Guardiola is set to leave City this summer after over a decade of being in charge of the Premier League side where he has found immense success.
When asked about if he will leave the side, Guardiola said he is living in the present and is not concerned about what may happen in a few months time.
"No, I'm living day by day, numbers are numbers, how fine we have been is how fine we have been, who we are is who we will be."
"It is a semi final at Wembley again. We will try to win."
Now, as reported by journalist Ben Jacobs, his replacement Maresca is now free to speak with clubs after details about his contract were brought to life this week.
Jacobs reports that “sources have indicated high-level talks between the Italian and City have already taken place” and that “Chelsea cannot delay or block the 46-year-old starting a new role having accepted his resignation.”
The report also states that any potential compensation to Chelsea will be finalised between the Blues and Maresca, meaning if City do bring in the Italian they would not have to cover any compensation.
Maresca was relieved of his Stamford Bridge duties in January following a major row with the side's BlueCo ownership group but he is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League.
Guardiola will make a decision on his future in the coming months, likely after the title race and his FA Cup run is over which should free up time for him to either sign a contract extension or depart for good.
