Hazard worked under three Italian bosses in his time at Stamford Bridge: Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri and Carlo Ancelotti.
The Belgian star was constantly asked to adopt the obsessive habits of Ronaldo to make his career last long but admits he never wanted to be anyone but himself in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Yes, but I told him I didn't want to. I've never gone too far, but I've always wanted to be Hazard on and off the pitch.
“If my friends invited me to dinner, I wouldn't say no, and if I wanted a drink, I wouldn't deny myself. Cristiano is Cristiano, I am Hazard. I just wanted to be myself and play football."
Hazard established himself as one of the Premier League the greatest ever wingers during his seven years at Stamford Bridge, but after leaving, found it hard to keep his fitness levels up.
Hazard retired from football in October 2023 as the age of just 32 whilst Ronaldo has kept his career going at nearly 41 years old as he represents both Al-Nassr and Portugal.
The former winger bagged just seven goals in four years at Real Madrid, having racked up 198 goal contributions in 352 appearances during a glittering spell at Chelsea.
He will forever be a club legend with the Blues, but he may regret not taking up Ronaldo’s habits when he was younger to ensure his career lasted longer, like a lot of modern players.
