Nottingham Forest Academy have confirmed the signing of forward Lamin Sillah on a deal until the summer of 2028.

Last summer, Sillah trained with Forest as well as a number of other sides in England according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

“Gambian U20 talented striker Lamin Sillah, currently training with Nottingham Forest. Leicester City are also tracking him as he’s definitely one to watch with more PL clubs keen. Sillah, managed by Cherno Samba & Sascha Empacher.” 

A year later, he joins Forest from Olympiacos and will be part of Warren Joyce’s B Team squad for the 2025/26 season. he young Gambian international. Speaking on the young striker’s decision to join the club, Head of Football Development & Talent Management, Craig Mulholland, praised Sillah and revealed that he thinks he has a high ceiling. 

“It’s really important our Emerging Talent pool has a blend of the best players from the local area who have come through our Academy, as well as top talent from around the world. 

“Lamin is someone who has high potential, and we’re delighted to have added a goalscoring attacker to Warren’s young, exciting squad. 

“He arrives here hungry to improve. We wish Lamin well for the year ahead and we are all looking forward to seeing how he settles into the Club.” 

Forest’s preseason fixtures continue this weekend with a clash against Monaco before facing Estoril, Birmingham City, Fiorentina and Al Qadasiya. It will be interesting to see if manager Nuno Espirito Santo includes Sillah in at least one of those games as he continues his development.
