Chelsea were keen on signing a new centre back during the January transfer window, with Rennes’ Jeremy Jacquet now set to join Liverpool in the summer.
The Premier League club have now confirmed their decision to recall Sarr, who made 18 appearances across all competitions this season, from Strasbourg.
Sarr earned his first cap for Senegal in November and was included in their squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations.
