Bowen has been a revelation for West Ham since joining from Hull City for around £25 million in 2020, establishing himself as a club legend after scoring the winner in the 2023 Europa Conference League final.
The 29-year-old has been a star for the Hammers over the past six years, but with relegation on the cards, financial issues mean the Irons are forced into selling their best players.
Unsurprisingly, Bowen is attracting interest from top Premier League clubs, most notably Manchester United, with Michael Carrick looking to sign a new right winger.
West Ham need to raise more than £100 million if they are relegated to the Championship, so selling the England international is necessary, and former United boss Moyes holds the winger in high regard.
“I think he’s got something which others might not have, a little bit of an idea of what he’s supposed to do and what he wants to do," Moyes said when speaking about Bowen in 2024.
"He could run away from you, he can score with his right and left. He’s always out practising his finishing. When he played on the right he was still probably one of our biggest goalscorers.”
Bowen scored 60 goals in 202 appearances under Moyes during his time at the London Stadium, so his opinion should be highly valued by Manchester United when considering a transfer.
