Ceballos initially joined the Gunners on a season-long loan from Real Madrid in July 2019, and then returned a year later for another loan spell.
Arteta brought the Spaniard back to the Emirates Stadium, and he recorded two goals and six assists in 77 matches for the club.
Still at Real Madrid, where he's been used sporadically by previous managers, only making 15 LaLiga appearances this term, the 29-year-old took to social media to congratulate Arsenal on their Premier League title win.
Manchester City's 1-1 draw against Bournemouth ended their long 22-year wait for glory, and Ceballos wrote: "Congratulations to Arsenal, the players and the fans for winning the league title.
Especially to Mikel Arteta. You always believed in the club and worked harder than anyone to achieve this. You deserve it, boss.
Congratulations, family @Arsenal
Arteta once said that Ceballos "trained like an animal" during his time at the club, and supporters will always appreciate his efforts.
