Cox gets to work at Everton after Man Utd departure

Cox left Manchester United as their academy director to take charge of Everton this week.

His brief will see Cox in control of all football matters at Finch Farm. Cox's move was announced in June, but he stayed on at United to assist with the change.

His departure is still viewed at United as a major blow given the way he has shook up the club's youth system in recent years.

Cox oversaw the first team debuts of 35 academy players at Old Trafford.
