A natural winger, George has featured as a striker this season by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.
After featuring for England U21s this week, George said: “I don’t mind playing as a nine. I just want to get on the pitch, so if it’s as a striker or full-back, I’m happy to be on the pitch.
“I’m quite a creative player. I like to be in the pockets and shoot.
“It’s been a decent start to the season, I’m taking it day by day. I’m not too focused on the future.
“I think to play more, it’s just being aggressive, and hungry to show the manager that I want to play in training. That’s what I’m going to try to do.”
On Chelsea and England U21 teammate Jamie Gittens, George added: “He’s really good, really sharp. He’s electric, a smart player as well. We’re really, really close friends.
“You always need competition at a top club, and you’re always going to get that.
“He’s pushed me, and I push him.”
