Chelsea outcast Axel Disasi 'close' to joining relegation threatened West Ham

The last remaining member of Chelsea’s infamous ‘bomb squad’, Disasi came close to leave last summer before ultimately remaining in West London.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old is on the verge of leaving Chelsea for a loan move to West Ham.

Disasi had been linked with several Italian sides throughout the January transfer window but was never close to making the switch.

Romano adds that talks between the two clubs are now at the final stages with details over a potential option or obligation to buy unknown.
