The Blues have already made three huge signings this summer in Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens. Now, with news circulating that the Premier League side also want to sign Xavi Simons, the club are not stopping there as they make contact with Hato.
This is despite interest from Liverpool and Arsenal who are in the market for a strong defender this summer. The Blues in need of back up for Marc Cucurella, as the the 27-year-old is currently the only left back in the squad. Now, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal for the 19 year old.

The move comes as the side prepare for the imminent transfer of Renato Veiga to Atletico Madrid as manager Enzo Maresca seeks to replace him before he touches down in Madrid. Hato is already establishing himself as a key player for Ajax, despite being just 19 years old but with the club valuing him at £60M it may be too steep for the West London club who have already splashed out over the last month.
