Chelsea reportedly made a dramatic late push to hijack Mohammed Kudus’ transfer to Tottenham, tabling a player-plus-cash offer to West Ham.

The 25-year-old has made an instant impact for Tottenham, providing assists for both of Richarlison’s goals in their 3-0 Premier League win over Burnley on Saturday (August 16).

According to The Sun, if Chelsea had it their way, Kudus would be wearing blue rather than white having attempted to hijack his move from West Ham.

Chelsea are understood to have offered Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, whom they valued at around £30 million, and an extra £20m for Kudus earlier this summer.

West Ham disagreed on their valuation of Dewsbury-Hall, however, and turned down Cheslea’s offer, allowing Kudus to complete his £55 million move to Tottenham.
