The Frenchman was named as a substitute for their Prem opener against Crystal Palace last Sunday whilst new signings such as Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro among others featured under manager Enzo Maresca who now has a huge problem on his hands.
Fofana has hardly featured for Chelsea due to injuries and he has now has removed everything related to the club on his official Instagram account following Enzo Maresca's comment after their clash against Bournemouth, suggesting that he is in the market for a new centre back.
"Wes played 45 minutes in that position.
"It was the first half against Bournemouth away. Probably one of the worst halves since we started."
Fofana did not play a single game under former boss Mauricio Pochettino due to a serious injury and has struggled for regular game time in recent years, rarely being offered the chance by the many managers the club has had.
Josh Acheampong starred at the back against Palace which would have been a shock for Fofana who will be wondering what his place in the side really is under Maresca. His social media activity just adds fuel to the fire that he could be pushing to leave this summer with just weeks left of the summer transfer window.
