Milan are interested in the former Atalanta centre-forward and Capello told Sky Italia: "I know Hojlund, he's done very well, even though he missed himself at a certain point at United, despite doing some great things.
"AC Milan would be a great challenge for him. I think his age and a coach like (Massimiliano) Allegri can give him a lot."
Hojlund's deal with United runs to 2028.
