Calvert-Lewin struck from the spot and says they were well worthy of the point.
He said: "Crazy game, crazy game. I think today was the epitome of what we're about and especially at home at Elland Road.
"I know we've come away with a point and I think considering the circumstances, no doubt, to come back the way we did, we have proved to a lot of people what we are capable of today.
"It was tough," our number-9 added. "It was a tough shift Wednesday night and we got the reward. We knew today was going to be a different test and equally as tough, so we had to be bang at it from the start.
"I think we were disappointed the way we came out in the second half. You have got to be, considering the first half, but again, it speaks for itself.
"I can feel the buzz, but it is important not to get carried away. It has been a big week and we knew at the start it was going to be a tough test. We have come away with four points out of the three games.
"I think we have to be pleased with that, considering the opponents, and just use it. Use it. Everything is something to learn from. Everything is a lesson."
