The Nigerian striker returned from international duty with an ankle injury and has since featured less frequently under Buruk.
Following Galatasaray's 1-0 triumph over Alanyaspor on Friday evening, Buruk spoke to journalists on Osimhen who could feature against Liverpool who enter the game on the back of a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.
"Today we will see how he was in the last training session.
"Osimhen has continued training. It was positive for us that he played 10 minutes in the last game. We will look at his situation today and decide."
A substitute appearance is more likely for the 26 year old who is enjoying life in Turkey after leaving Napoli in a long term loan deal this summer.
With Eintracht Frankfurt having torn them apart 5-1 in their Champions League opener, Galatasaray will aim to bounce back. Buruk explained that his focus is collecting 3 points against the Premier League champions as he aims to rotate his side in what is arguably the club’s toughest game so far this season.
“Tomorrow, not only the starting XI, but also the finishing XI will be crucial, I believe. In high-tempo matches, the players who come off the bench should be especially important.
“I'm not looking at tomorrow as starting and being benched, but as a team that will start and finish the match. Hopefully, my players will see it that way, too.
“Of course, a player who doesn't play is always upsetting, always falling a little, but tomorrow's match isn't like that.
“The resilience of the players who will come on, in particular, will be a key factor in us maintaining a high tempo. Our focus is on winning this match. It's the day to show our opponent our strength at home and what we can all do together.”
