Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly urged his Cameroon teammate Carlos Baleba to join him at Old Trafford after the pair linked up on international duty.

United were very interested in signing Baleba, 21, during the summer transfer window but were ultimately put off by Brighton’s £100 million+ asking price.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has since spoken of how the midfielder was ‘effected’ by the rumours, and he is yet to reach the heights that earned such links this season.

According to The Sun, Mbeumo, who joined United from Brentford this summer, is hoping to persuade 'little brother' Baleba to push for a more to Old Trafford.

It’s understood that their recent link-up with Cameroon during the recent international break has helped the two connect.
